Jana Smith

Jana was born and raised in the Czech Republic and emigrated to Canada as a child. Although she is mostly 'Canadian' she still has a heart for the country of her birth. With a BSc and a Master's degree, Jana spent her working life in medical research. But retirement has given her the opportunity to enjoy hobbies such as writing and photography. She resides in SW Ontario with her husband and visits children and grandchildren as much as possible. Jana’s fictional stories focus on a journey of discovery. Discovery of one’s ability to survive, despite the odds; discovery of one’s faith; discovery of God’s provision and protection or simply discovery of one’s strength. Writing fiction, grants an author, the luxury of discovering ‘what if's and having fun with the outcomes. It is her sincere hope that the readers of her stories enjoy a moment of joy, laughter, reflection or possibly of their own discovery.
